Grant To Theatre
The Downstage Theatre in Wellington has received a grant of £1750 from the New Zealand Theatre Centre Board. It is the board’s first grant to professional theatre in New Zealand. The grant was announced by the chairman of the board (Mr G. Wiggs). It will help to finance the theatre’s plans to double seating and stage area.— (P.A.)
