HAD EASY VICTORY
Te Parae In S.A. Oaks (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) ADELAIDE. Te Parae, the brillian New Zealand-bred filly, followed her Port Adelaide Guineas win last month with another easy victory in the South Australia Oaks over 10 furlongs at Morphettville yesterday. Starting at 9/4 on, she came in a lengfth and a quarter ahead of Tonia (8/1). Vanoma (16/1) was two lengths away third. Te Parae, by Agricola from Excellency, has won in Melbourne and wil'l run in the Oaks at Flemington. The Dip, an A.J.C. Metropolitan Handicap winner, starting at 7/4, scored by a short half head over Nickel Shot (7/1) in the Labour Day Cup. Prince Ming, 9/1, was third. The Dip is brother of Light Fingers, winner of the V.R.C. Oaks last year and favourite for the Caulfield Cup. Like Light Fingers he was foaled in New Zealand. He is trained by J. B. Cummings. Another New Zealand winner yesterday was West Side Story (5/2), which won the Glenelg Transition second division by a short half head over Grettason «7/l). French Ballet (5/1) was third. West Side Story is the sister of A.J.C. Derby and Caulfield Cup winner. Summer Fair.
