Subscriber To Subscriber (Special Crxpdt. N.ZPA.) SYDNEY, Oct. 2. Telephonic communications have taken another step forward in Australia with the introduction of a new sub-scriber-to-subscriber service from Melbourne. Subscribers on a number of inner-city exchanges are now able to dial Sydney, Canberra and 160 other centres in Victoria and New South Wales without first having to go through the trunk or tolls section. By early next year more than 100.000 Victorian subscribers will have the equipment for subscriber trunk dialling. The national telenhone plan is to have the new system operating throughout Australia within the next 10 years.
