Empire Games Organiser
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Oct. 12. One of Auckland’s leading sporting administrators, Mr Alwyn Moon, aged 56, died yesterday. As secretary of the Auckland Amateur Sports’ Association, Mr Moon was responsible for raising thousands of pounds to finance competitors to the Empire and Olympic Games in recent years. He was the deputy-chairman and director of the organising committee of the 1950 Empire Games in Auckland.
