WARNING TO FARMERS
ork Aircraft Flights “The Press'* Special Service AUCKLAND. Oct. 12. The Department of Civil Avia’ion has issued a warning to farmers and others who go on flights in work aircraft. Flights are legal only where they can be regarded as private flights—those for which n-' particular payment is obtained, says the department. If the flight can be held to form part of a contract for the performance of work for hire or reward, the department says, it is not a private flight. This question has a vital bearing on the validity of the legal limitation of liability and compulsory insurance cover. The passenger's personal insurance policy might also be in jeopardy.
