RANGWRA SHOW
Record Entries Possible
Entries for the Northern Agricultural and Pastoral Association’s annual show at Rangiora on Labour Saturday are likely to be a record. Entries for the flower section will not close until October 19, but the number of entries for the other classes is higher than the corresponding figures for last year. So far 2524 entries have been received, compared with last year’s tally of 2482. Last year 59 flower entries were received, taking the final figures to a record total of 2541. Only 18 entries are needed in the flower section this time to set a new record. Entries received for the various classes; with those for last year in parenthesis, are:—
Horses, 915 (952); cattle, 220 (263); sheep, 517 (416); pigs and dogs, 101 (120); sundries, 771 (731). Total, 2524 (2482).
