Auckland Venture "The Press” Special Service AUCKLAND. Oct. 11. Application has been made to the Auckland City Council for approval to build luxury flats costing a total of £330.000 in St. Stephens avenue, Parnell. The flats, which will be individually owned, will be built in two blocks, to be known as Berrington Court Apartments. on two acres of land opposite the White Heron Lodge and next to the Point Resolution public reserve. Each of the 42 apartments is priced at over £20,000. The developers of the property are Mr and Mrs O. W. Rainger. The two blocks, one of 14 storeys and the other of eight, will stand in landscaped gardens with off-street parking spaces for two cars for each apartment and additional parking space for visitors’ cars.
Each of the apartments will have two or three bedrooms (most of them double bedrooms), two bathrooms, large lounges (some of them 30ft long) and terraces measuring 30ft by 10ft. facing north. Two penthouses will cover 2500 and 2000 square feet of floor space.
