Earning Rate Rises - (N.Z. Press Associaiion) AUCKLAND, October 4. , Batholomew Timbers, Hamilton, improved earning rate: on average shareholders’' funds from 5.8 per cent to 7.7, per cent in the year to July 31 after a 71 per cent jump in profit and record sales. Earning rate on capital rose from 8.8 per cent to 12.7 per cent. Consolidated profit of £29,839 compares with a parnet company profit of £17,506 the previous year. In addition, there were profits of £985 (£636 last year) on the sale of assets and of £25,872 from the sale of property. The result, including 16 months’ profits by T. S. Henry, was after depreciation of £5607 (parent company £3286 last year) and tax of £29,300 (£23,200).
