Profit Rises 50 Per Cent. "The Press" Special Service WELLINGTON, Oct. 4. C. and A. Odlin Timber and Hardware Company is lifting its ordinary dividend from 8 1/3 per cent to 10 per cent, after an increase of about 50 per cent in net profit. In a preliminary statement the company said that subject to audit, net profit for the year to June 30, 1965, was more than £184,000. Profit the previous year was £122,166. Directors are recommending a final ordinary dividend of 8d a 10s share, making Is a share (10 per cent) for the year. They also recommend the following final preference dividends: A preference, 3 per cent, less Social Security income tax, making 6 per cent for year: B preference, 2J per cent, plus 1 per cent participating, making 6 per cent for year.
