Employed For Sly-Grogging

AUCKLAND, Sept. 14.
Special duties police had made investigations after hearing that someone was buying properties in Auckland and setting up sly-grog dens, Detective Senior Sergeant B. T. N. Hutton told the Magistrate’s Court today.
Mr Hutton said Norah Sweeney, aged 50, unemployed, was placed in one of these dens to sell liquor. Sweeney pleaded guilty before Mr H. Jenner Wily, S.M., to four charges of selling liquor without a licence. She waa fined a totafi of £BO.
