Registration Of Abattoir
Cancellation of the Lyttelton abattoir registration is not wanted at the present time, the Lyttelton Borough Council will tell the Department of Agriculture. At Its meeting on Monday night the council accepted a recommendation to this effect from its abattoir committee, which stated that it was realised that should the abattoir be reopened, it would have to comply with the meat regulations. “When a satisfactory settlement of the outstanding dues owing to the council by the butchers is completed, the council will give further consideration to the closing of the abbaitoir,” the report concluded.
