Pakistanis March On Downing St.

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, September 12. Five hundred Pakistani immigrants in Britain yesterday inarched on number 10 Downing street and demanded support for Pakistan in the Kashmir war.

Leaders of Pakistani groups taking part in the march from Trafalgar square said the petition, which also supported the United Nation’s peace-keeping efforts in Kashmir, did not directly ask for military support. One official said: “Moral support, such as condemnation of India’s aggression, would be quite adequate.” Mr Z. I. Qureshi, secretary of the Pakistan Forum—an organisation for immigrants in Britain—said: “India’s violent aggression in Kashmir will not be tolerated.”

He added: “If necessary we will rise as one man and go to Pakistan and fight. U Thant only represents powers who have no interest at heart. “We can do without Eng-

land and America, but wt have our friends, Indonesia, Russia and China who will come to our aid.”
