SIX AT SIXTH

(N.Z. Press Association)

CAMBRIDGE, Sept. 13.

Cambridge golfers could be forgiven for thinking that the 150-yard sixth hole is “easy.” Two weeks ago F. C. Cole holed in one there for the second time in little more than two years.

Yesterday J. D. Arneil played a six iron shot to

have his second hole in one there in five years. There have been other holes in one at this dropshot hole which is called “Land’s End”—within the same period. Mrs E. R. Foster, the club captain’s wife, did so in 1963 and the next year, Mrs J. C. Richardson, the new club captain’s wife, repeated the effort in the same annual competition.
