Fine Wins As He Predicted
(N.Z. Press Association)
INVERCARGILL, Sept. 13. Sipa Fine, Tongan light heavy-weight boxer, beat Bert Adams, the Californian Negro imported by the Southland Boxing Association, in the fifth round of their meeting tonight just as he predicted a week ago. He almost completed the task in four rounds. He peppered Adams in the fourth and in a slogging final rally had the Negro out on his feet. Only the gong saved him. Although he was in no condition to do so, Adams staggered in for the fifth round and met a thrashing.
