Two-Point Lead In Boys’ Chess
(N Z. Press Association) MASTERTON, September 2. B. Anderson (Christchurch) gained a commanding lead in the New Zealand schoolboys chess championship when he won his fifth round match against P. Kelly (Palmerston North) at Masterton. Anderson, with two more rounds to play, is two points ahead of hu> nearest rivals. R. Metge (Auckland) and A. Dominik (Wellington). Points after five rounds: Anderson 5, Metge 3. Dominik 3, B. Patterson (Dunedin) 2), G. Kerr (Dunedin) 21, J Hughes (Christehurch) 2. Kelly 1, R. Wsayman (Kawerau) 1.
