Heretaunga Wins Hockey

Heretaunga College won the I secondary schools’ hockey tournament at Ashburton yesterday when it beat Waimea College in a play-off by three goals to nil. Waimea College had taken Heretaunga by surprise in their match in the morning, winning 5-4. Results:—Waimea 5. Heretaunga 4, Westlake B.H.S. 2, Taupo 2; Ashburton A 5. Ashburton B 1. WANGANUI WINS Wanganui Boys’ College finished off its movements much better, and as a result beat Marlborough Boys’ College, 4-1, in the final of the secondary schools' hockey tournament at Wanganui yesterday, reports the Press Association. Marlborough actually spent most of the game on attack, but several shots were missed, and hesitancy in the circle cost several other goals.
