Mr I. A. Snook, a graduate of the University of Canter|bury and the Christchurch Teachers’ College, will leave for the United States at the end of next month for the University of Illinois where he will study for his Pb.D. in education. Mr Snook was educated . t St. Bede’s College and taught there for several years after completing his master’s degree in education with first-class honours. Mr R. T. Baker, who has been chief chemist for Ivory Spray Chemicals, Ltd., Nelson, has joined the staff of Lincoln College as an assistant lecturer in chemistry and physics. An Englishman who is the holder of a bachelor of science honours degree from Nottingham U iversity he has served as a scientific officer with the Dominion Laboratory at Gracefield and also with the Forest Research Institute at Rotorua. The Rev. Evan Lewis, who has almost completed his three-year term at the Christian University, Salitiga. mid Java, will return to Auckland with his family on October 15.
