ARMS GIVEN UP
Response To Amnesty (Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A.) LONDON, August 11. Since an arms amnesty was announced by the Home Secretary towards the end of last week, 191 weapons and about 20,000 rounds of ammunition have been handed over to the London police.
Scotland Yard has received a German sub-machine-gun, 144 revolvers and pistols, two Very lights, 29 rifles, four shotguns and 11 air-guns. The amnesty ends in October.
