Parliament’s Diary
The annual reports of the General Assembly Library and the Invercargill and Masterton licensing trusts were tabled in Parliament yesterday morning. Urgency was then taken on eight classes of estimates, but only one was passed when the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) called on the committee to report progress. It was: industries and commerce, £1,176,000. The amount actually spent last year was £1,117,828. The House then adjourned until • Tuesday afternoon.
