A NEW ANTI-LIFT WINDSCREEN WIPER blade has been developed in Britain, and has been tested successfully at speeds up to 200 m.p.h. Here the blades are being tested on a black glass screen which has been treated with French chalk so any minute irregularities will show clearly. The blades overcome the problem of wipers lifting off the screen at speed—with some cars ordinary wipers will lift off at speeds as low as 45 m.p.h. The blades will be a standard fitting on several British cars.
