Booster Pump At Selwyn Huts
A booster pump, to Improv# pressure at points distant from the existing pump, will be installed at Selwyn Huts. This was decided at a meeting of the Springston South Domain Board. The pump would bring ordinary flow to almost high pressure, but it would not allow for the flow of more water. Mr H. R. Thompson, a member of the board, said that the pressure would still not be constant, and ultimately new piping would be required. However, the board decided that a new system was beyond its present means. The chairman (Mr F. von Sierakowski) and Mr P N. Velvin were authorised to buy the hosing needed for firefighting requirements. An application for property alterations made by Mr N. Rossiter was approved. A similar application by Mr RT. Evans was also approved on condition that the drain- | age board regulations were met. Property transfers between L. T. Stoddart and W. F. Nicholson, N. White and M. Mitchell, and D. F. Nuttal and W. H. Joblin were approved. Mr N. Rossiter was granted permanent resident#.
