Should Have Scored More
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY, Aug. 5. The New Zealand hockey team today beat Parkes, the Central New South Wales side, 3-0, after a scoreless first 'half.' Played on a hard ground and in cool conditions, the match was dominated by New Zealand which controlled the mid-field play throughout. However, the New Zealanders missed numerous opportunities to score with weak shots and poor work in the circle. i Their goals were scored by A. Corbett (2) and K. Thomson.
