Nylon Industry Competition
(N.Z. Preus Association) WELLINGTON, Aug. 5. Strong competition was predicted today by the Minister of Industries and Commerce (Mr Marshal) when the two New Zealand companies manufacturing nylon yarn were in full production. He told Parliament the proposals from the two companies to enter into manufacture of nylon yarn were considered by the Tariff and Development Board, which recommended both proposals be approved. The Government accepted this recommendation as the best means of ensuring competition within the industry.
