Girls’ Brigade Activities

Two representatives of the Christchurch division of the Girls’ Brigade, Misses M. J. Strachan and M. Holland, will leave Christchurch today to attend the brigade’s silver jubilee celebrations in Sydney. Miss J. Chenhalls, chairman of the brigade executive at international headquarters in London, will visit New Zealand at the end of this month. She will discuss new uniforms and other details of the brigade’s amalgamation with New Zealand officers. Amalgamation will be the main topic of discussion at the annual officers’ conference at Auckland during Labour week-end. To allow time for full discussions with the investigating committee, formal remits will not be submitted.

The New Zealand brigade will be represented at the Pacific fellowship training course to be held at Rabaul Island next January by Miss G Gebbie, organising secretary, and Miss J. Baker, New Zealand field officer.
