N.Z. BEEF OUTPUT
("Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A.) LONDON, July 23. The output of beef in New Zealand fell in 1963-64 and again during the current year, but so far exports had been quite well maintained, said the bulletin of the Commonwealth Economic Committee. With the continuance of a reduced level of demand for processing beef from the United States, much greater quantities of Australian and New Zealand beef had been marketed in Britain. The bulletin said production in Australia rose to a high level in 1964 and as domestic consumption remained relatively stable, exports increased sharply.
