Malawi To Be Republic
(N Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) BLANTYRE, July 21. Malawi would become a republic within the Commonwealth on July 6 next year, the Malawi Prime Minister, Dr. Hastings Banda, announced in Blantyre tonight in a nation-wide broadcast. The date given will be the second anniversary of Malawi’s independence.
