Television Films
Sir, —I read with interest that we may not have any more British television programmes. Wonderful! We have enough of them as it is; all they have is documentary programmes. A few of them are quite interesting, and I do repeat a few. The plays they do have are mostly centred on slum areas. We have to turn up our volume to try to understand what they are “yaking” about That’s all they seem to be doing.—Yours, etc., INTELLIGENT VIEWER. July 19, 1965.
[ Having established that there are at least two points of view on this question, as on all questions about programmes, this correspondence may now cease.—Ed., “The Press.”]
