Gerrard, 6-2, 3-6, 8-6. 6-3, to give Mexico a clean sweep over New Zealand in the Davis Cup American zone semi-finals, Associated Press reported. Mexico had won yesterday’s opening singles match when R. Osuna beat I. S. Crookenden. 1-6, 6-2, 7-9, 6-4, 6-2. Earlier, Mexico had won two singles on the opening day and the doubles on Sunday.
