UNIVERSITY PAPER
‘Salient’ On Sunday (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 15. Victoria University students decided today to convert their newspaper “Salient,” hitherto published on Tuesdays, into a Sunday venture with sales in milk bars at 9d a copy. They believe their Sunday edition of “Salient”, to start distribution next Sunday, will be the first of its kind in the world. The newspaper, hitherto issued to students who pay annually as part of their enrolment dues, is produced as a largely unpaid venture by the student organisation. Theft From House.—A house in Hay street, Linwood, was entered between 10.40 a.m. and 1.45 p.m. on Tuesday and £35 in money stolen. Entry was gained through a rear door which was closed but not locked.
