Commission To Inquire
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 15. The Government will appoint a commission of inquiry into efficient and economic handling of export produce, according to the annual report of the Transport Department, tabled in Parliament. The report says although internal transport is reasonably efficient, there is still room for improvement. The Shipping and Exports Council is dealing with shiping, ports and transport services relating directly to export produce.
Another committee will be set up later in the year to investigate methods of getting fruit and fresh vegetables from the grower to the markets and consumers.
