Bus Skids, Overturns
(N.Z. Press Association) MASTERTON, July 14. A bus taking Masterton County Councillors and st aft on a road inspection tour today skidded in loose metal on the Putara road •in the Eketahuna county, overturned, and came to rest on its side about eight feet below the road. The mishap occurred at about 12.40 p.m. The county engineer (Mr B. L. Larson), of Masterton, received slight bruises but all the other passengers in the bus and the driver escaped injury. Had the bus left the road 30 feet on either side of the site of the mishap it would have plunged down a bank of about 60 feet.
