Sota Wins Open Golf
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) PARIS, July 15 The Spanish golfer, Ramon Sota, yesterday won the 72hole French Open championship with a total of 268. Coble Legrange, of South Africa, was second, one stroke behind, and the Australian, Peter Thomson, who won the British Open last week, finished third with 272. At Toronto, an American, Joe Campbell, scored a sparkling four-under-par 66 to take the first-round lead in the Canadian Open championship. R. J. Charles, of New Zealand, was five strokes behind.
