Rugby in the Far East is not without its moments.
Spectators at one of H.M.N.Z.S. Otago's games were puzzled when moments after a scrum went down it literally “flew apart”
The mystery deepened when there was a call from the paddock for a stout corner post. It was not used to discipline an over-enthusi-astic forward but to kill a snake which had joined the serum!
