102 p.c. Rise To £30,045 (N.Z. Brest Association) AUCKLAND, July 14. Consolidated net profit of Clarke Petrous, Ltd., Auckland roofing tile manufacturer, improved by £2774 or 10.2 per cent to £30,045 in the year to March 31, more than making up the drop of 1962-63. The result was after providing £5413 more for tax at £31,191 and £1220 more for depreciation at £13,523. Trading profit was £14,156 higher at £125,158, but expenses were £50,399 compared with £45,708. Net profit represents an earning rate of 9.7 per cent on shareholders’ funds of £309,614, compared with 9.2 per cent on £295,192 previously. As announced, dividend has been maintained at 7j per cent on capita) raised by the one-for-five bonus issue. It takes £13,500 compared with £11,250.
