Mr Graham Hollobon, a graduate in science and music at the University of Canterbury, who is now studying at Yale, has been awarded the Siliiman memorial scholarship for outstanding first-year work of his two-year postgraduate course. The Rev. Father K. O’Shea. S. is conducting a theological seminar at the Redemptorist Monastery, New Brighton, during this week. He is professor of theology at the Redemptorist Major Seminary in Ballarat. Australia. Mr J. A. Whitney, manager of the National Mutual Insurance Company, Ltd., was the guest of honour at a farewell function held by the Canterbury Fire and Accident Underwriters’ Association. He is being transferred, on promotion, to Perth, Western Australia.
