FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—Weak anti-cyclones are centred north-west of Auckland and west of the South Island. Forecast:

Canterbury.—Light to moderate variable winds; partly cloudy and cool, some isolated showers likely in the evening. Outlook: fine. Marlborough and Nelson.—Moderate northwesterlies about coastal Marlborough, otherwise light, variable winds; fine and cool. Outlook: fine. Buller and Westland.—Light, variable winds; cloudy and cool with scattered light rain. Outlook: scattered rain.
