DENIAL BY MR KIRK

Labour Party Leadership (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 13. The president of the Labour Party, Mr N. E. Kirk, said today that he had not announced any intention of challenging for leadership of the party. He was commenting on newspaper reports which claimed he would definitely be challenging Mr Nordmeyer's leadership of the Parliament ary Labour Party. “This question was raised in a speculative article in The Press'.” said Mr Kirk. “1 have not announced any such intentions. Any decision 1 may make will be made at the appropriate time and announced in the appropriate place.”
