CHARGES OF FRAUD
Men Arrested In Blenheim
Two mem, who appeared before a special sitting of the Blenheim Magistrate's Court late on Saturday evening, were remanded in custody to appear in the Christchurch Magistrate’s Court on July 8, on charges of false pretences allegedly committed in Otago and Canterbury. They are Donald Trevor Charles Gardner, aged 35, a barman, and Eden John Granger, aged 40, a workman. The accused were arrested in Blenheim on Saturday evening by Detective T. C. Joy and Constable J. Gott, of Christchurch, after they had been apprehended by the Blenheim police. The police say further charges are pending.
