Pope Invited To U.N.
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) VATICAN CITY, July 4. The Vatican Press Office has announced that Pope Paul has been invited to visit the United Nations.
It was premature to say when or whether the Pope would go, a spokesman said.
The Vatican’s IJnited Nations observer, Monsignor Giovannetti, said in New York on Thursday that it was hoped the Pope would visit the United Nations during its next session, which opens on September 21.
