COMMONS BILL
Abolition Of Hanging (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyrlflht) LONDON, July 4. The Government has undertaken to give adequate time this session for the House of Commons to pass a Bill to abolish hanging for murder in Britain. It warned critics of the Bill, who have been indulging in delaying tactics, that it would allow all-night sittings if necessary.
The Bill is a private (nonGovernment) one and is supported by a substantial number of Conservative Party members.
