Cut By Fire
(N.i. Press Association) LEVIN, July 2.
A hedge fire near Longburn today cut telegraphic communication south to Wellington from 10.45 a.m. until 1.25 p.m. At Levin and Otaki Post Offices telegrams had to be dispatched and received by telephone. An official at Palmerston North said it was one of the worst breaks for a long time.
