NEAR FINAL CHOICE
Reverse-Side Designs (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 20. Designs for the reverse side of New Zealand’s decimal currency coins “virtually” had been chosen, said the secretary of the Decimal Currency Board (Mr J. N. Searle). Canadian, British, New Zealand and other artists had submitted samples of their work and five Britons and six New Zealanders had been selected. They had submitted 150 proposals for the six types of the coins.
Mr Searle said registrations of machines converted to decimal currency would start next week.
