Out Of Squad
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 21. The 20-year-old Wellington centre, R. Strong, has withdrawn from the New Zealand squad for the second Rugby League test against Australia on Saturday, because he is not fully fit. In the final Kiwi trial at Auckland on June 5, Strong suffered a nose injury which required an operation ’ast Wednesday.
Taking Part.—A New Zealand men’s basketball team will take part in the Australian championships in Brisbane from September 27 to October 3. Confirmation was acknowledged yesterday.
