Meeting On Laws
(N Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 21. Three New Zealand Rugby Union officials will meet the South African Springbok Rugby team in Gisborne to explain and answer questions concerning interpretations of the laws. “It is possible the Springboks have found variations in the interpretation of the laws,” said Mr T. C. Morrison. “We will be there to endeavour to give them rulings on those variations.”
In Brisbane yesterday several top administrators of the Australian Rugby Union conferred with the South African managers on several aspects of the Springboks’ tour of Australia.
Referee*.— Mr D. H. Millar (Otago) will referee South Afr-.ca s match against Poverty Bay-East Coast on June 30 and Mr C. F. Robson (Waikato) the Wellington game on July 3. IP.A.)
Holes-in-One.— While playing at the Amberley Golf Club' recently. Miss S. Hutchinson • Little River) holed her No. 7 iron at the 110-yard seven•eenth. Mr D. Findlav sank a No. 3 iron at the 178-yard second at Templeton Country Club during the week-end.
