Four Hurt On Roads
Two women suffered head injuries when a car and a truck collided at the corner of Centaurus road and Rossmore terrace about 1.20 p.m. yesterday. Mrs L. Pollard and Mrs L. H. Jones, both of Rolleston, were admitted to the Christchurch Hospital. Last evening the condition of Mrs Pollard was reported to be satisfactory, and that of Mrs Jones to be fairly satisfactory. About 5 p.m., Terence Kearns, of 31 Camden street, a pedestrian, suffered leg injuries when he was hit by a c«r at the corner of High and Tuam streets. He was treated at the Christchurch Hospital and discharged. Mr R. Haines, c/o. 73 Corson avenue, a student, whose home address is Nelson, suf fered head injuries in a collision between his bicycle and a car at the corner of Montreal street and Moorhouse avenue about 6 p.m. He was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital, where his condition was reported to be satisfactory.
