High Altitude Tests

Japanese swimmers and officials will take part in the Mexican swimming championships in Mexico City in October. This will be the first attempt by Japanese sports organisations to work out measures for overcoming the disadvantages of the high altitude which will confront competitors during the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City. Other sports organisations were expected to send athletes and surveyors to Mexico City during the next 12 months.
