Search Of Ships
fN.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON June 3. Ships in port were searched today by detectives searching for nearly £7OO worth of spirits stolen from a city wholesale merchant’s last night. A senior detective said the ship checks were routine. Thieves stole a truck loaded with the spirits and £ll7 worth of bottled beer from the premises of B. T. Taylor and Company last night. The truck was later found abandoned near the waterfront. The beer was still in 'it but the spirits had gone.
