Wellington Customs
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 3. Revenue collected by the customs department in Wellington during May totalled £4,601,365 against £4,277,449 in May last year. Details are:— Customs, £1,010,933 (£854,224 last year): sales tax, £1,186,056 (£1,544,467): petrol tax, £2,244,509 (£1,725,595): tyre duty, £596 (£12); other duties, £159,271 (£153,151).
