WAR PENSION REVIEW
Any Change To Be Retrospective Any changes in 100 per cent disability war pensions would be made retrospective to April 1. the Minister in charge of War Pensions (Mr Kinsella) said yesterday when replying to a letter to i the editor of “The Press.” The Minister said it had been agreed with the Returned Services’ Association that a review of war pensions would be made every two years in April, and would be related to the cost-of-living index. The information did not become available until towards the end of April, and a review was made immediately. “This question is actively under consideration at present, and results will be announced before the annual meeting of the R.S.A. Dominion council, which has been advised accordingly,” the Minister said. The letter on which the Minister commented was from “18342.” who asked whether anything had been done since April 30 about an increase in 100 per cent disability war pensions.
