Doctors And Publicity
Sir,—ln tightening its ethical rules the New Zealand branch of the British Medical Association appears to have seen fit to include strict limitations on the free speech of its members in the press and on radio and television. One wonders just what it is intended to hide. One can only hope that those in control of the association will waive the ruling in the handbook and permit those who knowingly and deliberately speak out for human rights to be met professionally and served by their fellow medical practitioners according to true Christian concepts.—Yours, etc., HIPPOCRATES. June 3, 1965.
